Mailing Lists

A mailing list is a list of addresses you or your company would use to send specific types of email messages to multiple recipients at a time. A popular use of mailing lists is for Newsletters or Product/Service updates.

Hosting clients will have access to mailing lists in our bespoke control panel – check your plan details. You will have the ability to create, modify or delete mailing lists.

IMPORTANT: Please make sure that all the email recipients are subscribed to a the mailing list before sending a mass mailing.

How To Create A Mailing List

The mailing list allows a single email to be sent to multiple recipients at a time. For the recipients to receive the email, they have to be subscribed to the mailing list.

In the Control Panel got to Email => Mailing Lists =>“Create A New Mailing List” button. When the new window appears, follow these steps:

1. Mailing List Address – this is also the name of your list, e.g. [email protected] . When you have added a list of subscribers to this mailing list, simply sending a message to [email protected] will reach your subscribers.
2. Administrator’s E-mail Address – this is the mailing list admin contact email address – you can choose any email to be your admin email.
3. Administrator’s Password – this password password you set for the mailing list.

Finally click on Create a Mailing List and your new mailing list will be successfully activated!

How To Add Subscribers To The Mailing List

To subscribe to your mailing list, each recipient has to send an email to [email protected] with a blank subject and the following text in the message body: subscribe [email protected] my@email_address.com

A more detailed message with additional instructions will be received and once subscribed the recipient will get an introductory message that contains list policies and features.

Note: These instructions apply to those hosting through either HostFraser.com or EcoCPanel.com but are also applicable to any other platform utilising the Majordomo Mailing software.
