Add My Business to Google My Business Profile

To add your busi­ness to Google My Busi­ness, fol­low these steps:

 

  1. Vis­it the Google My Busi­ness web­site: Go to https://www.google.com/business/ and sign in using your Google account. If you don’t have a Google account, you’ll need to cre­ate one.
  2. Click on “Man­age now” or “Start now”: You’ll see a but­ton that prompts you to man­age or start set­ting up your busi­ness pro­file.
  3. Enter your busi­ness name: Type in the name of your busi­ness. If you’re promp­ted with sug­ges­tions, select the cor­rect one. If your busi­ness does­n’t appear, choose “Add your busi­ness to Google.”
  4. Select the busi­ness cat­egory: Choose the cat­egory that best rep­res­ents your busi­ness. This helps Google under­stand what your busi­ness is about and how to cat­egor­ize it.
  5. Add your busi­ness loc­a­tion: Provide your busi­ness address. If your busi­ness oper­ates from a phys­ic­al loc­a­tion that cus­tom­ers can vis­it, enter the address. If your busi­ness does­n’t have a phys­ic­al store­front, you can still set up a ser­vice-area busi­ness where you serve cus­tom­ers at their loc­a­tion.
  6. Spe­cify your ser­vice area (if applic­able): If you selec­ted a ser­vice-area busi­ness, you’ll have the option to spe­cify the geo­graph­ic area you serve. You can enter regions, cit­ies, or ZIP codes.
  7. Add con­tact details: Enter your phone num­ber and web­site URL. These details will be dis­played on your busi­ness pro­file, allow­ing cus­tom­ers to con­tact you.
  8. Veri­fy your busi­ness: Google will ask you to veri­fy your busi­ness to ensure you are the author­ized rep­res­ent­at­ive. The veri­fic­a­tion pro­cess typ­ic­ally involves receiv­ing a post­card with a veri­fic­a­tion code at your busi­ness address. Fol­low the instruc­tions provided to com­plete the veri­fic­a­tion.
  9. Optim­ize your busi­ness pro­file: Once your busi­ness is veri­fied, you can enhance your pro­file by adding pho­tos, busi­ness hours, a descrip­tion, and oth­er rel­ev­ant inform­a­tion. This helps make your pro­file more attract­ive and inform­at­ive to poten­tial cus­tom­ers.
  10. Man­age and update your busi­ness pro­file: Reg­u­larly check your Google My Busi­ness dash­board to mon­it­or and respond to cus­tom­er reviews, update busi­ness inform­a­tion, and take advant­age of addi­tion­al fea­tures offered by Google My Busi­ness.
