How To Use The VPN Provided With Your Hosting Account
Through your website’s Control Panel (HostFraser.com or EcoCpanel.com), you can enable VPN access to the Internet. You will be able to utilise it through the VPN client application already installed on your device – a computer, a smartphone, a tablet, etc.
To enable VPN access, you will need to go to VPN access in the Advanced section of the Control Panel and then click on the “Activate VPN Access” button.
You will now see a list of our VPN server locations which include the USA, Canada, Netherlands, etc. Keep in mind that there are frequent updates to the list of VPN server locations.
To push your Internet traffic through a certain VPN server, just copy its hostname and paste it in the VPN client on your device. This should be done through the PPTP protocol.
To authenticate the VPN connection details, you will need to use the username of your hosting account and your VPN password. This is your hosting account password, which can be changed at anytime.
You will need to give your VPN connection a name.
NOTE: Please note that you must have ‘Point-To-Point (MPPE) Encryption’ enabled in your VPN client’s settings to be able to connect.
That’s it! Now you will need to enable this VPN connection from your device.
This way, all your incoming and outgoing Internet traffic will start going through our VPN servers instead of your particular easily identifiable internet connection and no one will be able to spy on you online.
By default, you will have a few gigabytes of free VPN traffic per month. To save on your traffic quota, you can also enable our VPN filter, which will automatically filter out ads and compress images for you.
